Although it takes a little while to pick up the pace, the novel still manages to draw you into the magical world of the Amazon and all its mysteries. It's a great mix of adventure and fantasy. A solid recommendation.

Clearly written for young adults.. But held my attention with its wonderfully detailed descriptions. Poetic licence and imagination rooted in logic, which made it readable despite some slightly flat characters. Recommend for enjoyable and easy reading.
