Guild Wars: Edge of Destiny

First, I am a huge fan of the Guild Wars series. I run a large active guild on Guild Wars 2 and routinely check back on the first game for a little fun. That being said I was well aware of the settings and certain events which the author does seem to now and again gloss over. He still does an amazing job of painting the pictures you need to follow along well. For any fans of the series, more importantly the second game, you will love this book. I can't express the fun I had reading about the exploits and adventures of these characters and how they came to be Destiny's Edge. The game itself gives you clues here and there but this book will make you feel it all right up to the end. You will see new sides and faces to this loveable band of misfits while the author ever expands just how the world came to be where we all jump in when playing the game. You'll laugh, worry, and possibly cry as events draw to a close and you read on to the end of the book. All in all, a fantastic read which makes me want to reread Ghosts of Ascalon.

Great book. The first half really builds the whole story, and then it slows down a little in the middle, but then really picks up towards the end. Love all the characters. Much better than ghosts of ascalon, but i enjoyed that one still. Unfortunately I have to wait for the game to come out to see how the story continues.

This was better than Ghosts of Ascalon by far - great story. It doesn't disappoint with a rushed ending as its predecessor did. Highly recommended if you plan to play the game as it provides a first look at the heroes that make up Destiny's Edge. The pace is great and the action is well written. Helped bring back the anticipation for release of GW2.
