Black Jack truly was victorious over several enemies, some real, some imagined. They tried to fool him into making mistakes. But as soon as he joined forces with the women and men around him, he became undefeatable. The aliens never knew what hit them. The imagined enemy fought for his soul but he survived to live life with the one woman he wanted from the start.

good read. kinda like a soap opera mixed with high school drama childish and unprofessional portrayals of adults in this futuristic space fleet. when the main character talks of honor but his top two advisers are a woman he has slept with and another he wants to. enjoyed the books well enuff tho. worth a read but not very memorable. would love to read a book about this black Jack everyone keeps talking about tho. lol.

For a series about plans and forethought in the face of changing conditions, I couldn't be more pleased with it.
