About this ebook

#1 NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR

“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List

A Navy SEAL has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his team in this ripped-from-the-headlines political thriller that is “so powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written—rarely do you read a debut novel this damn good” (Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author).

On his last combat deployment, Lieutenant Commander James Reece’s entire team was killed in a catastrophic ambush. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government.

Now, with no family and free from the military’s command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he’s learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward avenging the deaths of his family and teammates. With breathless pacing and relentless suspense, Reece ruthlessly targets his enemies in the upper echelons of power without regard for the laws of combat or the rule of law.

“Told with a deft hand and a keen eye for detail, The Terminal List…is explosive and riveting” (Kevin Maurer, coauthor of No East Day) and is perfect for fans of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Stephen Hunter, and Nelson DeMille.

I typically read 2 books per week often in this genre. This is one of the weaker titles I've read. Obviously a first work by a new writer so perhaps this series improves as it evolves. The basic premise of the story is simply impossible if you know anything about the industry, product development, how it's governed, and how products are monetized. Thus, the main character's motivation is not believable. Despite the author's obvious knowledge of the character's background and skill set, it's difficult to get past the errors in story development. I'll read another of his books to be fair but I must say this one was rather disappointing.

I've read all three of Mr. Carr's books that are out so far. Excellent writer and love the real life experience he brings to the characters. He goes into great detail on the equipment used, which is beneficial when you want to do research on potential purchases. I appreciate the protagonist's being painted as a real flawed human being. I also identify with his love of country, attitude, driving motivation, and moral compass. Give it a good long consideration, you won't be disappointed.

Like a Tyler Perry story mashed with Michael Bay direction. Not my thing. I missed the lead up to when books started containing so much product placement. Holy hell, dreadful. Dont bother reading past the free sample. It's so vanilla that I couldn't finish reading it. This book appeals to many, I assume, but not me.
