About this eBook

LOVING THE ENEMY CAN BE TREACHEROUS!

Navy SEAL Jake Holland retires from the military and joins a protection team of ex-military. He is more than a little surprised to find Amanda employed there. And even more so that she is still single. Yet her talent as a security specialist can’t be questioned.

Amanda hasn’t confronted Jake with their past. And he prefers it that way. Yet he bickers with her incessantly. Personal issues aside, Jake can’t bear to witness Amanda suffering. She keeps up the pretense of being strong, but that doesn’t fool him. Despite her tough attitude, Amanda had a kind heart; not that she would cut him any slack.

When Amanda receives the shocking news that her sister’s newborn is missing, she must discover if the baby is alive. Jake volunteers to go undercover with her, but the mission has trouble written all over it.

Jake and Amanda are tech specialists for Black Swan Security and when Amanda's niece goes missing, they team up undercover to find out what happened. This was dramatic, sweet and so intense. Jake was alpha and strong but had a complicated history with Amanda. They were constantly at odds. Though their connection was strong and the attraction undeniable under the surface, neither admitting their true feelings. There was steamy parts and their intimacy was romantic. I really enjoyed their rapport with each other and that level of respect too. This was a great book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jake and Amanda had a relationship while in the military. Now they both work for Black Swan and work together again to find her sisters newborn baby. A criminal adoption ring needs to be infiltrated so they go undercover to find answers. While on the mission, intense feelings and emotions that never died, surface again to form a more permanent bond between them. The characters are strong and determined, with great backstories that give them depth. The suspense of the criminal element is not over until the very end and it is pieced together nicely. The romance builds until it skyrockets. Loved the trust and honesty they come to and the great ending they are headed for. The ending was terrific as it all wrapped up. Can not wait to read more by this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
