About the author

Die Gebrüder Grimm waren Jakob und Wilhelm Grimm. Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm wurde geboren am 4. Januar 1785 in Hanau und verstarb am 20. September 1863 in Berlin. Wilhelm Carl Grimm wurde geboren am 24. Februar 1786 in Hanau und verstarb am 16. Dezember 1859 in Berlin. Beide waren Juristen und Sprachwissenschaftler und wurden vor allem bekannt durch ihre Märchensammlung und das von ihnen begonnene Deutsche Wörterbuch.
