The uplifting true story of an unlikely friendship between a man on the streets of Covent Garden and the ginger cat who adopts him and helps him heal his life. Now a major motion picture starring Luke Treadaway.

When James Bowen found an injured, ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.

Yet James couldn't resist helping the strikingly intelligent tom cat, whom he quickly christened Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, imagining he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas.

Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse, comic and occasionally dangerous adventures would transform both their lives, slowly healing the scars of each other's troubled pasts.

A Street Cat Named Bob
is a moving and uplifting story that will touch the heart of anyone who reads it.

IF you love A Street Cat Named Bob, don't miss The Little Book of Bob, the new book from James and Bob.

Fabulous book. Bought this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. James' story made me realise that you have to make the best of what you have. From being a recovering addict to the 'dad' of such an amazing cat. Going from busking to selling the Big Issue to being given the chance to tell his story. Read it, you know you want to

I think cats are great, especially our ginger boy who looks strikingly similar to Bob. However, not only is this book a wonderful story about a cat with a huge character, but it shows how James and Bob have changed each others lives for the better. I feel I have been thoroughly entertained by their special relationship. I have learnt a lot from James' story and I feel better for reading this book. James has thanked people for their reviews, 'followers', and 'likes'. I thank him for sharing his story and improving me. I wish him and the cute ginger man all the best!

Loved reading it there was much one could identify with: the daily struggle to just survive, troubled and seemingly dreadful existence turning into a discovery of strenght and compassion towards oneself and others. Its hearwarming beautiful story of a unlikely friendship. It also opens your eyes up on what its like to be a big issue seller. Forces you to recognise a human being behind ppl often written off by society.
