An utterly exceptional delight to have read. This is a wonderful expansion of Lovecrafts' Cthulhu Mythos which reaches in to the lives of Watson and Holmes. Very immersive storytelling with a new view on their first meeting and inevitable comradeship.

Combining the best of two literary words this is an enjoyable and fun entry to the trilogy.

James Lovegrove is the New York Times best-selling author of The Age of Odin. He was short-listed for the Arthur C. Clarke Award in 1998 for his novel Days and for the John W.
