This is a series of stories the author has bundled together into one book. These are short stories each with a different theme or problem. The ideas for the stories present interesting scenarios, the problem is some of the stories fell short on delivery. One such problem was the first story that had a time of activity problem especially where a burn patient is concerned. There are stories of broken women existing but not living. They may have achieved a good paying job, created their own successful work choices, or become independent of problems that should have destroyed them or held them back, but the baggage from their past is still controlling any chance they have at a future. In these stories you find a college rape victim (committed by her boyfriend’s teammate and friend), a stepfather who molest not one but two sisters, and spousal abuse just to name a few of the lead female dilemma’s. This was an interesting read although at times a confusing read. Overall, there were moments when the stories worked well. Wanting to know what happened to each of the love story characters kept me reading to the end. Suspend reality, let go of what you actually know is impossible in a situation and you should be just fine reading these stories. Ms. Jasper has an amazing imagination. Her books all have some elements in common….funny dialogue, over the top characters and steaming love scenes. However, all of her stories are unique and engaging. Sis, Level Up is a collection of her works and there is no particular theme to the subject matter. We get everything from an undercover FBI AGENT to a soldier returning from deployment. The stories are told from varying points of view. I enjoyed all of the characters and storylines but if I had to pick one my favorite couple it would be Zane and Dana from Cocked and Unsheathed! This author ALWAYS brings it!! In this bundle of short stories, they get right to the point and deliver the sexy alpha males that can drive a woman insane with desire and need. Each individual book tells a completely separate story from the next, so it never gets boring. Love comes in all colors, and BWWM is no longer taboo!
