I love the interactivity with the characters. There is always a bit of drama, or maybe more than a bit, but it is always relatable to real life. All of Marina's dishes sound yummy and I want to have a recipe included to try myself! The three sisters are fun and supportive of each other, which is very nice. In the romance department, everything isn't always smooth. This, too, is similar to real life! I think that Marina is a bit short-sighted, though. She needs to lighten up and enjoy life a bit more for where she is as an empty nest woman, beginning a new and, for her, enjoyable career. This is book three in The Summer Beach: Coral Cottage and it continues Marina's story and it is definitely a must read. Marina owns and runs The Coral Cafe and absolutely loves what she does even though it is sometimes stressful, busy and she gets tired especially as her sister Kai and Axe is doing and promoting a production of a classical Christmas story with a beach theme twist that will be played at the outdoor amphitheatre and Marina was making all the picnic boxes plus she is part of the performances so she trying to fit everything in and then on top of that Marina has feelings for Jack but she doesn't think that he feels the same way so she will just have to keep strong and carry on with her life. When Cole arrives in summer beach to see Marina as he was in the military and best friend's with Marina's husband who died Jack sees there connection and realised he could have lost his chance with Marina through his own stupidity and slowness as he thought that he more time to tell Marina how he feels but then another complication happens causing more distance between them. Will Marina and Jack ever get on the same page or will they miss out on something special between them. I absolutely love this book and series and I can't wait to read the next one as Jan Moran is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed. Christmas at Summer Beach This episode is mostly about The Coral Cafe but also has other Summer Beach characters as that is such a small town, This episode brings the love lives of many to a center amidst the performance of a beach-themed Scrooge. This is a pivotal episode that the reader will enjoy best if they have read the other two Coral Cottage books first. Having kept current with the Summer Beach (Seabreeze Inn) series. I have enjoyed all of the books that I have read by this author. Her style of writing lets the stories just flow. Her characters are all alive with real emotion, reaction, and intelligence. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
