Courtney loves the kids she teaches art, unlike the principal whose goal seems to be to make her life miserable. She should be preparing the plan he demanded even though it was Friday. At least it was supposed to be relaxing until she saw her crush of the last year jogging--then blood and it was a vision she had to change. Talk about a bang up meeting. If she hadn't tackled Jared, the bang would have been a bullet in him. No time to figure out what and why, he told her to run and she did. Who ever was shooting was still out there. Jared knew immediately who she was to him, but how was he to explain it to her? Being his was one thing, but the bear inside was quite something else to explain. And—guys (Jax his brother and roomy) sometimes don't consider that women might just need a little time to adjust. Laying it all out—the mate part she'd read books—but the half bear and seeing him change was a lot to take in. Did she want that? Would it change who she was? Couldn't they still be together without her being changed? While Jared wanted to give her time, there was more than just the change to worry about. Could he protect and have her because he'd never have anyone else. Another winner from Ms. Vaughn. And we know who is to meet theirs in the next book. Enjoy this couple and their path to love.
