About this ebook

The original Powertools crew are back in a brand new series!

When James was a kid, he aspired to be a superhero’s sidekick. He’s never enjoyed being the boss. Not on while working for the Powertools and not in his love life. Fortunately, his husband and wife are far better at assuming control than he is.

With each of his spouses stepping up to be the foreman of their own crews, James is left wondering what there is for a cute, hyper-organized, former construction worker to do in Middletown. Sure, he could play house husband for his spouses, and the rest of their sometimes lovers, while taking care of their ever-expanding family. But after decades of swinging a hammer for a paycheck, he’s hungry for a higher purpose.

James has read enough comic books to know he should be careful what he wishes for. Because when someone threatens one of their own, he will do anything—including calling in some of their more qualified friends to help—in order to figure out who wishes they would turn around and go home before they’ve barely unpacked their moving boxes.

This is a standalone book set in the Powertools universe. All your favorite Hot Rods and Hot Rides characters will be making appearances as well. So come make new book boyfriends or hang out with old ones!

***4 Stars*** It’s funny. I have read all of the books about the Powertools crew, some, just not all, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series where we get to see the next step in their lives and how they’ve grown into their relationships and then have a wrench or two tossed into their HEA’s and how they adjust and evolve with it. And as like the first three books in this revisiting, I really enjoyed watching James truly find a place for himself in their new home and finding something that will truly make his soul happy day in and day out. We also get a little tease of a new spinoff series set in the same world and all I can say is “Bring it on!”

This is another great addition to this series. I'm loving checking back in with these familiar and beloved characters and getting a look at their lives and loves right now. This book focuses on James and Devon and Neil. I love that this series pushes these characters to grow and adapt just as we have to in real life. This is my independent, candid review.

It was interesting to see how James found his path with the support of his friends and his family. I might have wanted to see a little more action of his first operation when he was out on the "field" but it had been cut out entirely so I could only imagine. But all in all I liked it
