Ce fut aussi un philosophe familier de toutes les orientations de la pensée classique et moderne et dont l’œuvre se situe aux confins des existentialismes, de l’idéalisme et de l’ontologie classique... À ces deux titres, son audience est immense dans les pays anglo-saxons, depuis des années déjà. Mais il est encore peu connu en France, malgré de récentes traductions.
