About this ebook

Sometimes life’s most unexpected harmonies create the sweetest songs.

When Doris's husband suddenly goes "on a break" to sort out his life, she knows she must reel him back in – the alternative doesn’t bear thinking about. But with no clue where he is, no calls being answered, and a pile of family obligations on her plate, Doris finds herself in a bind.

Her biggest challenge? Finding a reliable nanny for her grandson Zack in just two days—a nearly impossible task given her son Robert's unlucky streak with caregivers. The perfect candidate must be good with kids, ready to start immediately, and willing to stick around all summer.

Enter Kiran, a recently divorced woman with a knack for music, who seems almost too good to be true. But with time running out and Doris—Robert’s usual backup—now off the grid, Robert has no choice but to take a chance on her.

Will Kiran be the answer to their prayers or bring more complications to the mix?

Grab your copy today and return to Sunshine Bay, where friendship, love, and second chances prove that life’s most beautiful melodies often emerge in the second half of life.

I've read several books written by Jeanine Lauren; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is part of the Shops at Sunshine Bay Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Doris, her son Robert, grandson Zack, and Kiran. She’s been taking care of her grandson but now needs some time away. She hires Kiran take over the housework and responsibilities of taking care of Zack for the summer.
