About this ebook

On a night when traditions are celebrated, a little magic will help love to blossom.

Mei and Kane have known each other since the start of school, but efforts to get to know each other haven’t gone well for either. Kane didn’t plan on causing a fire in the science lab, and Mei didn’t expect to knock over the new library display.

When both end up at the same stall at the August Moon Festival, the mutual attraction isn’t missed by a certain old lady. She gifts them a bottle of elixir, and thinking it’s just lemonade, both Mei and Kane drink it.

Transported and trapped in an empty Adelaide, the two teens have just hours to solve a series of riddles. They will need to work together because if they fail, the portal to home will be closed for a year.

Will a fateful tale repeat itself, or will love conquer all?

A sweet YA romance that fans of Your Name and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time will enjoy.

About the author

Jenni lives in a strange part of Australia where four seasons regularly occur within a day. She has two wonderful children and two cats who enjoy tearing through the house at 2am to keep her company.

She began writing in primary school but it wasn't until grade 7 that a teacher encouraged her to write something longer. That story borrowed heavily from the atmosphere and tropes of L.M. Montgomery and never did manage to receive an ending.

She has worked a variety of jobs including as an art gallery assistant, a library technician, and a teacher. Jenni is also the author of over 500 teaching resources for the classroom.

Now, Jenni writes young adult novels because she enjoys revisiting the age of discovery and adventure. She's not huge on writing romantic elements but every now and then a little sneaks into a story. Her goal with writing is to create worlds and characters that others will love as much as she did when writing.

On her bookshelf you will find mainly young adult books from contemporary to fantasy, but spends a lot of time reading younger books with her unicorn-pegasus-pony-obsessed daughter and sharks-and-wolves obsessed son.

A writer, story Illustrator, and an webcomic artist.

I like also reading manga and watching anime.
