About this ebook

The New York Times bestselling author of Guardian’s Mate returns to the world of the Shifters and a tale of a new love under fire...

A man is only as strong…

Red wolf Shifter Dimitri has fought his whole life for respect. It is claimed that red wolves are tainted with coyote blood and therefore not pure. He may not be skilled at verbally defending himself, but because he's a bodyguard, tracker, and champion of the fight clubs, his fists are always ready for some rough and tumble. However, he’d prefer a roll in the hay with the woman who is his oldest friend.

…as the woman who’s got his back…

A spirited leopard Shifter and a fellow tracker, Jaycee Bordeaux has no problem forging a mate bond with Dimitri, but soon the two are called to infiltrate a rogue group bent on enslaving Shifters. Jaycee may have defended Dimitri from taunts before, but they now face a more lethal danger—one that threatens not only the future of their people, but also their love.

I just went on another exciting adventure with shifters from Jennifer Ashley’s Shifters Unbound series. This time I joined Jaycee and Dimitri as they went undercover in New Orleans and I must say that Dimitri is quite sexy and charming but definitely an alpha wolf and he met his match in Jaycee because she is one tough, take no prisoners feline. These two strong, captivating shifters led each other on a fiery and feisty mating dance which was full of sizzling chemistry and sultry passion as well as snark and fun all while in the enemy’s sights. They certainly kept things interesting throughout their courtship which just made me love them more. The action and thrills were steady to fast paced throughout my adventure and let me tell you, some of it was downright scary, especially going through gateways and ending up in the fae’s backyard and the fights between our shifter warriors and the deluded shifters and the power hungry fae and then there was plotting going on with lots of twists so I was kept guessing whether Ben (bear shifter) was the bad guy everyone thought he was. I just love reuniting with some of my other shifter friends from this series as well as making new ones, so I like to visit quite often and Red Wolf was definitely an exciting chance to do just that as the shifters and a couple of fae friends made sure that there was never a dull moment to be found and I just had stick with Jaycee and Dimitri until the very end. I can’t wait till I can visit this fascinating and wonderful world again to find out what unexpected adventure I find myself participating in.

Maybe because this pair were already main characters in previous stories, I was deeply invested in them! Having already read books later in the series, seeing how the dots all connected was key to understanding what comes later. But for now, these two end up in a whole lot more than they bargained for, as some powerful shifters make a few mistakes. What this does for our couple is make them both realize how connected and perfect for each other they always were <3
