About this ebook

Single mom Maura Callahan never anticipated that at age 29 she’d be living with her mom in the suburbs, raising her young daughter, Chloe, and working a job that pays the bills but not much else. Her daughter is worth the struggle– and she still has her best friend Aidan, who makes her laugh, keeps her on her toes, and provides the oh-so-toned shoulder to cry on when necessary.

Aidan McKinnon, exec at a high profile social media company in the heart of Dublin, has longed to change his bestie status with Maura for years, but it seems Maura’s relegated him permanently to the friend zone. Still, she and Chloe are his world. But when Chloe’s father shows up out of the blue and demands shared custody when he’s never once met the little girl, Aidan sees a way to finally have what he secretly wants most while ensuring Maura and Chloe’s safety… and the diamond ring is just the beginning.

Will Aidan’s fiercely protective, knight in shining armor proposal of convenience end up starting the love of a lifetime?

I loved this story! Aidan and Maura had been friends since college. She was a single mother and he seemed to enjoy playing the field. Although he always seemed to be there for her when she needed a knight in shining armor to come to her rescue. But don't get me wrong, she didn't exactly need rescuing a lot, she was a very tough and independent woman. Then a twist of fate has Aiden proposing marriage and things changed drastically between them. I absolutely loved both of these characters, and Chloe (Maura's daughter). I especially loved how they and their families always put Chloe's well-being ahead of everything. There was certainly some tension and drama involved with Maura's ex showing up out of the blue again. But everything seemed to play out in a fairly realistic fashion.

Friends to Lovers. Maura and Aiden have been best friends since college, to help protect Maura's little girl, Chloe, Aiden has proposed a marriage of convenience. Once the obstacle of becoming lovers, things change in their relationship. Now they need to work on their relationship. Loved how they over came their differences. They always kept Chloe very important to both of them. Chloe's father threw in a few different twists to the story. I really enjoyed this story. Love Jennifer Gracen story telling.

This is the third book in the series and an okay story. Maura and Aiden have been best friends for years. When Aiden finally decides to tell Maura how he feels about her, something happens to put another plan in motion. I like the idea of this story and the McKinnon family but I didn't get a real feeling of love between these two besides deep caring friendship. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
