A trip down memory lane - the long hot summer of 1976, interspersed with images of the 60s and 70s that you can reach out and touch, even smell- beautifully written, funny, charming, tender.

I have never written a review before but this book has moved me to do so. It is so beautifully written. I cannot wait for her next book. It's quietly gripping. An observation of people. I absolutely loved this. Best I've read in ages

Hugely disappointing ending. So glad I didn't pay full price for it. Won't be reading anything else from this author
