About the author
John Allan is Emeritus Professor of Applied and Functional Anatomy in the School of Human Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
Beverley Kramer is Head of the School of Anatomical Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, and President of the Anatomical Society of Southern Africa.
