This is a fast paced and totally absorbing legal thriller with good versus evil well portrayed. With an intricate plot of two boys who grow up together and then choose opposite sides of the law, the story was multi-layered and a pure pleasure to read. There were a multitude of characters but they were all so realistic that I was actually able to keep track of them and which side they were on. The story included corruption, the fight for justice and some emotional scenes. These are my own opinion

He always writes great thrillers embellishing both the criminal and legal side, I really enjoyed the added history aspect in his newest publication. Hands down my favorite author!

I love this author and everything he writes. He is measures gripping stories with well paced movement and thoughtful details. He's also got a gift for molding a narrative that explores the full range of emotions and experiences of our shared humanity.
About the author
John Grisham is the author of numerous #1 bestsellers, including The Firm, A Time to Kill, The Rainmaker, The Innocent Man, The Whistler, The Boys from Biloxi, and many more. His books have been translated into nearly fifty languages. Grisham is a two-time winner of the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction and was honored with the Library of Congress Creative Achievement Award for Fiction. Grisham serves on the board of directors of the Innocence Project and Centurion Ministries, two national organizations dedicated to exonerating those who have been wrongfully convicted. Much of his fiction explores deep-seated problems in our criminal justice system. He lives on a farm in central Virginia.
