Adds unbelievable depth and nuance to an already masterful franchise. Well worth a read, this book immerses you into the underwater utopia, how it was made, the politics behind its inception, and its ultimate downfall. Detail is given to various characters of the popular video game series, as well as injecting a satisfying dose of substance to the audio recordings scattered around Rapture. Deserving of a film/TV adaptation, BioShock: Rapture is a dark journey into the heart of a city hidden from the dormant powers that inhabit the surface world; and of its disenfranchised citizens, who came tumbling down with its inevitable destruction.
