Important to note second in series, best read in order but not mandatory. Thought provoking topics on man, current at this writing decades after first published with a biting sense of humor and adventurous quests with complex characters and intriguing environments. Social life inappropriate for young children with situations and liberal use of anatomical terminology. Some may find disturbing yet without being gratuitous and refreshingly free of profanity. Tension cleverly built with this reader, third read, able to read as the first time much of the way and unable to put down the last third. I had to get talked into reading the first (Titan) and immediately sought the second and eagerly anticipated locating the third (way back in the dark ages of printed literature.)
