Finally Marvel gives as a happily married Peter and Mary Jane. Despite coming out a year earlier this is basically the Spider-Man version of Absolute DC. In this new Ultimate Universe Peter never got bitten by the spider as a teen so he only now is getting his powers. Seeing an older Peter who is now a husband and father dealing with what comes with being Spider-Man is a nice new touch for the character. Just like Absolute DC there are some major changes to the lore but the book still feels like Spider-Man at its core. I do wish the art was a little more top tier like the original Ultimate Spider-Man comic, but it isn't bad. If you miss the original Ultimate comic and/or are not liking the direction of the 616 comic or simply want to read something new then definitely read this.

really animated pictures aren't that detailed but that's the point. these are exceptional. I love it!
