About this ebook

"The species which had given him birth had also shown him so much death. But beyond that, so much suffering... Was it better left as a relic of the past?"

The world ended when her father died. Many would say it ended well before that. Now she will journey beyond the valley of death in the hopes of finding new life. Who or what will she find? Will it all be worth it?

The past and present are held in the scales, weighed against the future. Who or what will remain, when the last judgment is made?

The Last Judgment is an adventure story, but a sorrowful one. Its setting is at once both alien and familiar. And the journey, while unique, is very much the same journey we all are on. Birth, life, aging, and death. Collectively, civilization follows this same cycle. As one dies, another rises from its ashes. From an outsider's perspective, one might be moved to ask: Should this cycle continue?

I think the author did justice to his mother's sentiment about aging. The author succeeded in bringing the AI character, Uriel, to life and people like myself who feel sorry for computers when people abuse them,😅, will like him. The writing evokes a desolate, destroyed landscape very well. The story is very nearly clean. I would have preferred no swearing or violence, but that is personal preference. An evocative fantasy/Sci fi read.
