The ending seems rushed, like a child rushing to complete an Essay. Either way it was almost worth the money. A fourth instalment is needed because an ending such as; the next day tom woke to a loud bell ringing and went there and he his eyes on a beauty other than alice and fell in love. No something that leaves you stunned wondering why tom still loves alice why he was just a pawn on a chessboard. And fought in battle with a bleeding heart from betrayal to find alice sitting in her kitchen.

SPOILER ALERT After reading the entire adventerous and touching moments which makes the characters very much lovable, I just wish that there was more to the end. Jenny dying was such a disappointment, and in such a way too. Her upbringing seemed to have a promising potential to have her simply die in that way. I read other reviews saying that the book felt rushed, and I agree. I expected more to the story and a more satisfying ending. Slightly disappointed, but I still loved reading and finishing the series nonetheless. Thank you Joseph Delaney for this amazing series.

As someone who has read every book in the Wardstone and Starblade series this final novel was somewhat disappointing. It is well worth the read because it completed the story and left me content with the ending. I loved every major plot point but my issue was a lot of the points felt forced rather than with the flow which is how a book of Delaneys is usually read. This book really shouldve been twice as long to explain major points in the previous books but either way the ending left me content with the entire series
