Josh has recently turned 5 and received a new skateboard for his birthday. He really wanted a new bike however his parents couldn’t afford to buy him one.Josh soon grew to appreciate his new skateboard and started becoming more and more game in doing tricks. Josh had a number of stacks but nothing really serious until he broke his wrist. He was banned from riding his skateboard until his wrist healed. He ended up receiving protective gear (helmet elbow and knee pads) for Christmas so he could ride safer. He still didn’t get a new bike, maybe next year!

Author/illustrator of “Peggy’s Day on the Farm” - 30th Sep 21. Julie Patterson was born in Brisbane, Queensland and grew up in Sale Victoria, Australia. Julie enjoys writing children’s books and in turn illustrating them. She grew up with Mum, Step Dad and two brothers – one older and one younger. Julie met her sisters from her dad’s side of the family only approximately six years ago. Julie was her dad’s youngest of five daughters. After many years of working in the banking finance industry, she changed direction in her career to the corrections/justice industry. Julie is happily married and strives to have multiple books published.
