Der sechzehnjährige Tobi lebt in der kleinen Stadt Sleepy Hollow, die Stadt des kopflosen Reiters. Jedoch interessiert sich keiner für die alten Sagen und Mythen. Obwohl der kopflose Reiter in der Legende vor hunderten von Jahren viele Opfer gefordert hatte, schien es so als ob die Stadt vor Langeweile langsam sterben würde, bis seltsame Ereignisse Tobi veranlassen den Geheimnissen dieser Stadt auf den Grund zu gehen. Dabei wird nicht nur der kopfloser Reiter aus seinem langen Schlaf geweckt.
