Horrible. I don't even understand how Harlequin allowed a book like this to be published. There was basically no storyline. The whole book was just a plot, repeating it with different words. So boring that I was turning pages without reading them... The author kept repeating herself... Cited the same saying for at least three-four times (she must really like that saying). Unrelatable. Horrible. One of the worst I have ever read.

This book really sucked. The author style of writing was hard to follow and all over the place. The heroine was childish and self absorbed, and the love scene was non existent. Overall, I hated this book and waisted my time and money.

About the author

Mills & Boon novels were Julia James’ first “grown up” books she read as a teenager, and she's been reading them ever since. She adores the Mediterranean and the English countryside in all its seasons, and is fascinated by all things historical, from castles to cottages. In between writing she enjoys walking, gardening, needlework and baking “extremely gooey chocolate cakes” and trying to stay fit! Julia lives in England with her family.
