A pleasant reading experience. This was an ordinary story of a couple who were forced to marry but who grew to love each other by the end. I had a few laughs at all Jamie's attempts at finding her place with her Scottish husband and his clan. Alec was grumpy at first but gentle with her. I loved their bantering and the sparks that flew between them.

It's niether the most original plot, nor the most unique characters, but it's very very very good. I read a ton of history romance and this a wonderfully written story. I will read this multiple times.

The first book of Julie's I ever read, turned out to be first of a sort of series. Got me hooked on all things Julie Garwood. Sex & romance without the filth. Excellent.
