About this ebook

Since elementary school, I spent almost every evening in my mother's kitchen helping her prepare dinner. She showed me that cooking can be fun and simple recipes really can be delicious! I cherish all the tips and tricks she taught me and incorporate them into my daily cooking, using fresh, high quality ingredients.

This cookbook is a collection of the most popular recipes shared on my blog, Just One Cookbook, over the past three years. It includes classic Japanese recipes like chawanmushi, gyudon and kitsune udon, as well as modern favorites like California rolls and green tea ice cream. Enjoy!

I have been following Nami's cooking pages for more than a decade, her recipes are really easy to follow and basically introduced me a whole world of japanese cuisine. I haven't read so many japanese chef personalities other than her, but her cooking instructions gave me an impressions that japanese cooking is really easy and simple (okay maybe except tonkotsu ramen which is a whole different complexity). This book doesn't contain her most popular dishes from the website, but it's good enough for those who want try cooking japanese food as a beginner. I personally want to buy the printed copies of her books as the recipes and the photograps are really lovely, unfortunately quite expensive to import from US.

I really miss my obachan's cooking, Nami fills that void. I'm looking for a good Maki sushi recipe.
