This is a story that will tug at your heartstrings two people and a dog all broken but all with a common tie that in fact give healing to one another Chance Rafferty followed his father into the military and became a K9 handler in the special forces now he has returned but he has left part of his soul on the battlefield and is increasingly pulling away from his family and the town he grew up in. The only connections he has are with the retired K9's he is retraining but his latest dog isn't working with him at all. Tri as he has been renamed after losing a leg was the canine partner of Chances friend Dean Larson.
