Easy to read and fairly interesting. It's not compelling, but then I'm not the target audience (not being a teenager). That doesn't have to matter though. If a book is great, there is no denying it, but this book is only good - which is no bad thing. It's a good easy read that isn't very taxing and you can dip in and out of.

Way too much hype over this book. Parts of the story werent needed and felt meaningless then other parts felt drawn out for no reason. For once I think the film may be better than the book so looking forward to watching it!

Kami Garcia is a teacher and reading specialist with an MA in education, and leads book groups for children and teenagers. Margaret Stohl has an MA in English and studied creative writing under poet George MacBeth at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. They both live in Los Angeles, California, with their families. Beautiful Creatures is their debut novel.
