The story revolves around Sanvi ,Ashvi, Mansi, Myra, Avni and Soumya. Each of them has a distict life style and plans for their future. But one thing is common amongst all which is to live life on their own terms. They want to have every kind of freedom including sexual ones . The various facets of life in a female's life are well presented. How they use to be judged in yesteryears and even today at some places is artistically encapsulated in the narration. The story telling is entertaining and cover is charming Tailormade for the torchbearers of feminism.

It is a common notion that most of us have been privy to and it is that we live in a society where men are advised to stand out from the crowd if they want to have any chance at attracting women. This is to show that there is nothing wrong that men can do and no matter what the consequences of their action, they get a free pass to act per their will, while the women are always told to try and conform to the beliefs that have been outdated, yet prevalent since a long time. ‘Difficult Girls’ by author Kamini Kusum is an exemplary book that has strong female main characters that break all the norms and stand their ground against the unjust judgements and situations, all the while bravely fighting the odds that have been stacked against them only because of their gender. The book encompasses six different stories of six distinct women who come from various walks of life, yet they all have a common theme wherein they interrogate and introspect themselves to come out stronger and more better version of their own selves. While the fight for equality has always been a topic that holds and gains traction, yet there are so many areas where progress is desperately needed and hence, books like this are definitely something which set an example to all the readers regarding how the modern age women really are.
