And just like that, another Holloway brother has gone and stolen my heart. Like Mack, Grey values control above all things, and love is messy, out of control, and he’s only ever seen it end in hurt. Autumn is a romantic optimist. Life has tried to beat her down, but she just keeps getting back up and trying again. With those outlooks, this pair should be the definition of “opposites”, and maybe that’s a large part of why they light up so many sparks when they’re together. Differing outlooks certainly doesn’t stop the attraction from blossoming between them. I loved watching Grey learn how to let go a little and let his family love him. And, while I appreciated that Autumn wanted to stay clear of the mess with her father, I didn’t enjoy the way it felt like she just rolled over and let him get away with his bad behavior. The vindictive parts of me wanted to see justice done for how badly he’d hurt her. There’s still at least one question left that we’re looking for the answer to. I’m hoping that the final book will reveal all. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.

I enjoyed this "Moonlight Ridge" story! It is a good romance between Grey and Autumn. Opposites of a sort because one believes in love and the other does not. Autumn is feisty and just the match for grumpy Grey. I really like how this story develops.

About the author

Karen Booth is a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on '80s music and way too many readings of “Forever” by Judy Blume. Married to her real-life Jake Ryan, she has two amazing kids with epic hair, a very bratty cat, and loves getting up before dawn to write romance. With plenty of sparks.
