Suddenly Jamie has more to focus on than his wounds. He has two weeks to show Rachel that despite their past, he’s her perfect man.

Following her recent divorce, Rachel McCafferty heads to her hometown of Glacier Creek, Montana, to house sit for her parents, help out a neighbor’s son and reboot her life. I enjoyed reading A Hot Montana Summer by Karen Foley, book one in Glacier Creek series. Glacier Creek is a small town in Montana where Jamie Colter grew up across the street from his best friend Dylan McCafferty and his older sister Rachel. Despite being six years younger, Jamie has always had a crush on Rachel. Now, a combat-hardened Marine Jamie is home recuperating from a mortar attack that left him with a busted leg and a bad case of cabin fever. Rachel returns home to nurse her wounds and make a fresh start after her divorce from her rich, jet-setting, never home younger husband. After seeing Jamie’s good lucks and bold confidence Rachel is shocked that he is no longer the scrawny boy she remembered. Jamie has never forgotten Rachel and tells her he is hers for the taking. I struggled with Rachel and her attitude toward Jamie. She was attracted to him yet kept harping on their age difference. I realize that the “boy” she married was younger, wealthy, only thought of himself and abandoned her to party around the world, but Jamie was not her ex. In fact, Jamie worked hard to get Rachel to see him as the only man who is perfect for her. As these two spent time together sometimes it felt like Jamie was the older one, not Rachel. I really did enjoy reading this book as Ms. Foley wrote a wonderful story in which I connected with the characters. I recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This was a very enjoyable read with some fun and interesting characters as well as a fun storyline. Jamie Colter is a Marine home on medical leave. His bum leg makes it difficult for him to get around so when his parents go out of town they recruit a neighbor to give him a hand. Rachel McCafferty is temporarily living with her parents after going through a difficult divorce. Jamie the kid always had a huge crush on the older Rachel. Jamie the man knows that what he feels for Rachel is far more than a crush. Convincing Rachel to put aside her misgivings over her recent divorce and their age difference becomes Jamie's number one goal when she agrees to help him out. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.

Loved this book. Read in one sitting. As teenagers, Jamie professed his love to Rachel, saying "You're going to marry me someday." Fast forward and Jamie has returned home from the Marines with an injured leg and Rachel has returned home after a recent divorce. Their parents are all going on trip and hires Rachel to help with Jamie, the neighborly thing to do.They can't deny the chemistry between them but Rachel also can't deny that she is older then Jamie. Noe for Jamie to convince Rachel that age does not matter. I so loved these characters. Loved how Jamie did not give up Rachel. Great sexual chemistry between them. After reading this book I so want to visit Glacier Park, on my bucket list. I'm looking forward to reading, Dylan's story. I highly recommend this book!!
