It was a refreshing take on a ghost story. I like all the details about Japan and Japenese culture. I like that the story essence is from a youthful perspective. I like the human emotion that plays out through the story.I like that it is somewhat of a mystery with a ghost that hasn't revealed itself in the first book. It definitely will be the next book in future.

Erin wins a scholarship to Seda Academy in Japan for a year. She ends up with a very unusual host family and many weird things that happen in her first month there. This first book is mainly about the people she meets and her school life. I did laugh out loud when she washes her clothes. I received an arc and the views and opinions are my own.

really enjoyed the story, it's a refreshing change from the normal fantasy stories you find but we'll written and I laughed out loud a couple times
