About this ebook

She’s a loner who can’t get a date. He’s a rockstar who needs fewer dates. A summer job might solve both their problems.

For Julianna Barrow, working at a resort for the summer is the easiest decision she’s ever made. Anything to escape her small town and avoid the bleak future that awaits her back home. Unfortunately, when she arrives it turns out the job is less resort and more wannabe ranch. Then Scott Dallenforth, the rockstar/actor/anything-that-will-make-him-money, shows up, dressed in a flannel shirt and a cowboy hat, as if he expects to rope steer for the next three months. And he expects Julianna to help.

Scott Dallenforth’s rise to fame as a musician three years earlier gives him the life most teenagers only dream of. And yet his parents think he should “work” for the summer, because he’s “lost touch with reality.” They aren’t the only ones who feel this way. Julianna, an opinionated co-worker isn’t afraid of sharing her opinion about him or his lifestyle. He’ll just have to prove everyone wrong so he can get back to the life he loves.

With one summer to learn to look past what they think they know, Julianna and Scott need to allow the other to help them rediscover what truly matters in their search for happiness and love.

Rock Star Tries To Be Normal This is a fun and clean romantic comedy about working at a dude ranch for the summer after high school. Most of it is about growing up and first love. It also speaks to peer pressure and living your own life. It is a good story, but I would have liked more background on the characters. This author always writes good stories that keep the reader interested while introducing new ways to live life. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Summer Job . . . Juliana Barrow took a summer job at what turned out to be a wannabe dude ranch. Then a classmate she has admired for several years arrives. Scott Dalenforth is a rockstar but has become arrogant and jaded, so his parents insisted he come to the “resort”/dude ranch to work and get his feet back on the ground over the summer. For all of the young people working there, this is a perfect setting to learn about themselves and to gain interpersonal skills that will help them grow and mature. And Juliana and Scott will definitely benefit as they get to know each other, support each other, and fall in love. This is a fun and clean romantic comedy taking place over a summer on a dude ranch. The characters are well-depicted and the story line was enjoyable. Grab your copy and see how they will deal with their relationship as the summer ends, and what learning experiences they will have gained from this adventure. Will they be successful at finding happiness and caring about others?

Off Limits: The Celebrity is a sweet, young adult romance. Julianna and Scott are working at a dude ranch for the summer. This well written story will keep your interest as these two learn and start to grow into their adult selves. There are some laugh out loud moments and I cared about the characters.

About the author

Kat Bellemore is the author of the Borrowing Amor small town romance series. Deciding to have New Mexico as the setting for the series was an easy choice, considering its amazing sunsets, blue skies and tasty green chile. That, and she currently lives there with her husband and two cute kids. They hope to one day add a dog to the family, but for now, the native animals of the desert will have to do. Though, Kat wouldn't mind ridding the world of scorpions and centipedes. They're just mean.
