The Dark Vampire is the 3rd book in Kate Baxter'S Last Vampire series. In this book we get Jenner's, who was introduced in previous installments, story. Jenner is a newly turned vampire who is fighting for control since the change. His appetite for blood and sex is insatiable and he is concerned he is going to lose complete control. Bria has led a very sheltered life. Coming from a high class family, her uncle has always been overly protective of her to the he rarely would allow her to leave the compound in which they lived. After the compound comes under attack and Bria's life is left hanging by a thread her uncle does the only thing left to do, he ask the vampire king to turn her to save her from death. When Jenner comes to report in to the king and first catches the scent of Bria he goes wild, his body screaming MINE! Jenner and Bria fight a hard battle to their HEA. Jenner must overcome his fear of losing control and hurting Bria. He is so sure he is unworthy of her that he places her on such a high pedestal that even he can't touch her which only results in pis sing Bria off. She has had people handle her wit kids gloves her whole life and refuses to allow her mate to treat her the same way. When Bria'S life is once again placed in danger these two will have to face the ultimate challenge in trusting each other to make it through.
