One of the greatest original FR novels. Read this in the 80s and played the video game on PC. It is great old school AD&D. The second and third books continue the story. Then there are two little know sequels after this series. I have them all. :)

This was a great romp through the Forgotten Realms, following the adventures of Alias, a swordswoman and her friends: Akabar the mage, Olive the halfling"bard", and the saurial paladin Drahonbait, as they investigate the mystery of Alias' magical tattoos.

Love this book, read it ages ago in jr high, have it in paperback but its so old and dog eared.

Kate Novak is a fantasy author primarily published in the Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft shared worlds. She and her husband, Jeff Grubb, are co-authors of the best-selling Finder's Stone Trilogy.
Jeff Grubb is a freelance author, game designer, one of the original co-conspirators of Dragonlance, and the co-founder of the Forgotten Realms with Ed Greenwood. Together with his wife Kate Novak, he is the author of Masquerades, Finder's Bane, and Tymora's Luck.
