I'm 9 and guess what? Santa gave me the unpublished book for Christmas! (Spoiler alert) Faolan is a wolf with a splayed paw, and he is left to die on an ice chunk. The ice frees and he holds on to a bears leg. The bears last cub was murdered by cougars, so she is vomiting suicide. But she adopts faolan, saving her life and his. Faolan calls the bear thunder heart and is very curious. When winter comes thunder heart tells faolan "I'll sleep, and wolves don't, I give you permission to go out and hunt" but onc

I read these books every night to my girls and they loved them. Exciting, funny and they learn something too.
