This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 3 Stars Ah…the Malloy brothers. Hot. Sexy as hell. Wild. Or in this case…sweet? Bishop Malloy is a biker. He comes from a long line of bikers and boy, oh boy, he knows how to handle himself. That is until he is blindsided by Samantha, an ATF agent posing as the girlfriend of a fellow biker. Bishop believes she’s taken by her partner in disguise, Gavin, so he admires her from afar. His pining for her is adorable, if not atypical of a guy that’s like Bishop, but it definitely made you fall for him. Hard. Samantha lost her father when he was killed by a biker, making her extremely uncomfortable around them. So when duty calls and she’s forced to enter their world, her judgments and prejudices follow her and make her seem bitchy and off-putting. I get it that she’s had a traumatic experience with her father’s incident, but her stand-offish personality made the pairing between she and Bishop somewhat unbelievable. At several points throughout the story, you could feel the arc shift in the right direction, but their relationship seemed unlikely from the get-go. I’m satisfied that it finished itself nicely, but would have liked the same kind of passion and eroticism that the first two books showcased. I’m happy to see Bishop find his mate, but his mild-natured side would have been better served by jumping out of HIS comfort zone with the right kind of woman. Overall, the book wasn’t bad. It was fun to watch Samantha and Bishop flirt back and forth, neither one of them expecting to find an HEA at the end of the tunnel. I just wish it had been a lot more exciting and fast paced. And…even more steamy :) ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book gifted to the blog in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
