AudioBook Review Stars: Overall 4 Narration 5 Story 3.5 Another Tate enters the scene in this book: Racer. A street racer who loves the speed and adrenaline, pushing those limits all the time. But, can he function in a controlled atmosphere with an actual team and family that has been in the race game for years? That’s what Lana is betting on when she wants to bring Racer Tate into the garage. Her family’s business is racing, and with her father and brothers, they’ve experienced the highs, lows and everything in between. Now their garage is in need of new blood, and while Lana is attracted to (ok – the sexual tension between these two is off the charts hot – seriously, get a cold drink HOT) she also thinks he has the skill, daring and determination to stick with them and start the turnaround. And sticking with them will be a trick: Lana’s brothers WROTE the book on overprotective, obstreperous males, and Racer isn’t above dancing about the attraction between he and Lana. But, he’s also convinced that he’s not going to romance Lana only to have it end badly and he’s out of a job. Not just a job – his dream job – even as the itch to punch one or more of her interfering brothers is a scratch he’s got to deny himself. But, he’s onto a good thing here – and with some wonderful interactions with his own family to keep his head facing in the right direction, he thinks he’s got the balance right. He just never counted on Lana: honest, determined, hard-working, loyal and sexy as hell Lana who isn’t going to allow a little thing like her brothers or his worries about things ending badly seriously. Hot – addictive and utterly sensual – these two are perfectly matched for stubbornness, passion, daring and heart. Narration for this story is provided by Sebastian York and Grace Grant – and I’ve said it often – these are two of my favorite narrators of late – and everything they do brings the emotion, tension, passion and story forward, putting listeners right in the middle – that fly on the wall effect. Each character is presented with a tone and delivery that fits their personality: easy to distinguish and cleverly presented to keep dialogue moving forward even as moments of high emotion or tension are given their due. Easy to follow along, it takes no time at all to know who is speaking and just what they are feeling as the story progresses, adding to the enjoyment and interest of the listen. A wonderful installment in this series – plenty of heat and heart as they speed on to the ending! I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Simon and Schuster Audio for purpose of honest review. It's very well written. I like how descriptive the writing is and that you end up caring about the characters. Plot is a bit thin and cliched, but it's feel good and enjoyable.

I think I set myself up. I loved all of the Remy books and legand as well. I expected more of the same or along those lines. I don't feel as if Racer meet all my needs.
