I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgallery of Covert Vengeance . It's a fantastic story. I really enjoyed reading it . This is Amber Brown Valkyrie hacker's story . She was left for dead by her teammates while on an OP . She vowed to make them pay . She's on a rescue of another Valkyrie who maybe innocent . While she's in the middle of things Jesse Cordova shows up to assist her . He tells her her sister sent him . Jesse is a for hire Hitman . There's a contract on Amber but he decides to help her instead . Amber doesn't trust easily . They are soon on the run and what a rollercoaster ride of suspense , intrigue and romance . Amber and Jesse soon must work together to face the danger and take down the bad guys . This story is full of pulse pounding action , fantastic characters . It's intense and interesting all out fabulous . I could not put this story down . It is one of my new favorites . I'm looking forward to reading more in this series .

Covert Vengeance picks up where Stealing Vengeance left off, and tells the story of Valkyrie operative Amber and contract killer Jesse. Who ends up embroiled in Amber's mission after a contract is taken out on her, and boy did I enjoy it! As not only did it keep up the momentum and fast-paced nature of the first story, but it was full of action and gripping to say the very least. And I loved Amber, who really showed her vulnerabilities throughout this story, especially in regards to her sister Megan, who has only just come back into her life. Plus, I genuinely enjoyed the relationship that developed between Jesse and Amber, and felt it was perfectly balanced with the suspense of the story. Not to mention the introduction of new characters, and the reemergence of old ones certainly kept this story moving forward, and I'm so excited to see what happens next Would highly recommend.

As Amber looks for the rest of the Valkyries, Jesse's opt as a hitman is to eliminate the Valkyries, including Amber. But for Jesse, something doesn't feel right about his mission as he get close to her. Their story is action packed and filled with suspense as their romance builds while they work together to complete Amber's mission. Fast paced with details that explain the mission for those like me that started with book 2 of the series, I felt that Amber and Jesse's story was a book that can be read as a standalone. If this is your genre, then like me, you will want to read them all. Although I was gifted a copy of "Covert Vengeance", I also own a copy. 5 Stars!
