You just can’t help smiling with this one. Must Love Dogs... And Hockey is the brand new series ‘Bears Hockey’ by Kelly Jamieson. This book gave me the most heart-warming feels and smiles for days. It features a sexy, grumpy hockey player- Easton Miller and down-on-her-luck dog walker Lilly Evans. Easton is grumpy for several reasons, but the second he meets Lilly he feels better. Lilly thinks Easton’s a big jerk, but she agrees to walk his cute little pouch. Otis is the start of this show, the pup is all kiss and dynamite reactions, and the way he came into Easton’s care brought a tear to my eyes. Lilly and Easton both say a relationship isn’t on the cards but thanks to Otis, it’s not long before that’s exactly what they have. I loved watching their relationship blossom and grow. These two were just the perfect match and so sweet and adorable together, whilst still igniting my kindle with their chemistry, sexy banter and smexy times. This is a definite One-Clicker, grab yours today.

I really enjoyed this first book in this new hockey romance series by Kelly Jamieson. I just know we will meet so many lovable heroes and heroines as we always do in her books. We even get a new team to fall in love with here, the New York Bears. And first up is Easton, a cocky but lovable hockey player. He has a good core group of buddies on his team. The team has its struggles but they also have a nasty coach which ends up being a pretty significant issue for Easton. He meets Lilly thanks to the antics of a little dog he suddenly finds himself taking care of. A dog he ends up keeping, despite being gone all the time, and naming Otis. Otis is adorable and very good for Easton. Lilly is looking for a new purpose. She has just gone through quite an ordeal in her previous career and still is. She ends up helping Easton out with Otis which leads to so much more. More work for her, dog sitting and dog walking, and more between her and Easton too. I love how their relationship develops and honestly just love their whole story, especially how they support each other with what is going on in their lives. It isn’t always easy and they have some hiccups for sure. They deal with some pretty serious real world issues too. It’s great to have someone on your corner when you need it and Lilly and Easton give each other strength and end up being perfect for each other and exactly who the other needed. And little Otis was the best thing to happen to them. I was also very excited to hear a familiar name at the end of the book and now I really can’t wait for more of this new team!!

Kelly Jamieson's hockey novels are some of my favorites out there. I was excited to learn that we have a whole new team to love now as well, the New York Bears! This is the first in the new Bears Hockey series and it was a great way to start! Easton has recently been traded to the New York Bears, so while he's trying to settle in to a new city and deal with all of that, he's also learning his new teammates and how to navigate his coach, who is causing Easton all sorts of headaches. On his way back to his apartment one day, he ends up saving a dog and in the meantime the woman who was with the dog, abandons him and Easton is left to care for him. Needless to say, Easton's life doesn't exactly lend itself to easily caring for a dog, but he's drawn to the little guy that he calls Otis. Lilly is trying to rebuild her life. She's recently been fired from her job, and while it wasn't her fault, she knows it's better to move on and try to start again. She's been through a lot in the last few years and she doesn't have the support of her family and friends that she wishes she did. She decides she'll try her hand at a dog walking business and hopes that this will start her on a new path. When Easton and Lilly meet at the dog park, it isn't the greatest first meeting since Otis isn't the most well behaved of dogs and he isn't very nice to the dog Lilly is walking. After learning that Lilly walks dogs, Easton pleads with her to take Otis when he goes on his next road trip. She agrees and it turns into a a more regular thing. Not only that, but Easton and Lilly start to feel a pull toward one another. They've both had their share of loss and neither are looking for a relationship, but will their connection be too much to overlook? I really enjoyed these two characters and I liked how they supported one another and were there for one another. They seemed to really understand the other person and while they were both scared, they decided the leap was worth it. They both found exactly what they needed in the other and in little Otis! I'm looking forward to what's to come in this series if the end was any indication!
