While carousing at the Inn of the Last Home, carefree kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot is snared by a bounty hunter whose assignment is to ensure the return of the light-fingered escape artist to his homeland. Mary Kirchoff is an editor and author whose fantasy and young adult novels have been translated into more than nine languages. She has written one short story and six novels set in the Dragonlance universe, including the Defenders of Magic trilogy, Wanderlust, and Kendermore. Aside from writing, she has edited books for Wizards of the Coast and Tor Books. She lives in the Pacific Northwest.
