He is known as Dr. Jekyll and Hyde and Treasure Island's writer. It is said that the reason he had a good sense of adventure stories was that he, who was weak when he was young, admired adventure. He settled in Samoa, the South Pacific, stayed happy with his wife, and died of cerebral hemorrhage in 1888.
