Gina Silvano’s delivery truck for Sweet Treats bakery has been broken in twice in 6 weeks, nothing was stolen, but it was left a complete mess. She suspects the culprit is her ex Tony, since the problem started after she dumped him. Gina is trying to catch Tony in flagrante delicto, but her nosy neighbour, Mrs. Bogetti, calls the cops. Gina doesn’t like cops, even though one of the two who showed up is one gorgeous male specimen. Gina defends what she was doing, she was not stalking anyone, just trying to protect her assets. Gina with her multicoloured hair, piercings, and tattoos is not precisely Officer Rick Boyd’s preferred look for a woman, yet he thinks Gina’s cute, although difficult to handle. Rebel Gina can hardly stop drooling over him – of all people a cop! – but she’s not going to let him get away with anything either. Rick knows Gina will do something foolish. He has to protect her from her own foolishness, so he offers to help her look for who’s messing with her truck while he’s off-duty. And this is the beginning of one of the most wonderful opposites attract romances I have ever read. I liked the blurb, I was looking forward to reading it, but that sort of trope is sometimes tricky, but Kira Archer makes it work beautifully. I loved that both characters listen to each other, and while they disagree, they’re not needlessly stubborn. Both Gina and Rick are superbly defined characters, and it was fun how everybody she knows teases Gina about hanging out with a cop, and her reasons are entirely justified, as we later learn. Gina and Rick push each other’s buttons, but in a friendly and playful, non-threatening way. They are polar opposites, we are not TOLD they are, but they demonstrate it; the characters literally speak for themselves. I loved how Gina and Rick eventually become close, and the romance totally worked for me, their chemistry is palpable; it’s realistic and such fun! There were a few twists that were pure genius, and I applaud Ms. Archer for being daring about how Gina deals with a wound; I was laughing out loud, and yet what Gina did was something that I would do. Ms. Archer pays attention to detail in such a way that TOTALLY, SWEETLY, IRREVOCABLY is as clear as a HD movie, and yet the story is fast-paced and never bogged down with superfluous facts. The sex scenes are loving and passionate, I really felt the love between Rick and Gina, and they never behaved out of character. Towards the end, there is a splendid plot twist, and everything ends perfectly. TOTALLY, SWEETLY, IRREVOCABLY is absolutely irresistible, and one of the best books I have read all year. Kira Archer was a new author to me, and with one book, she became a new favourite of mine fan! To say I highly recommend this book is a major understatement! Absolutely excellent! If you need a good laugh and enjoy a sweet and sexy romance, then this book is for you. You will fall in love with the characters. "Totally, Sweetly, Irrevocably" by Kira Archer is book number two in the "Sweet Love" series. This is Officer Rick Boyd and Gina Silvano's story. Gina and Rick are totally opposites. Gina is a wild child and Rick is a rule follower. Plus, they both are very stubborn. Despite their differences and stubbornness they are extremely attracted to each other. This makes for a very funny and steamy read. FYI, includes mature content. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Entangled for an honest review.

Kira Archer and her quirky characters brightened up my day. Gina is the one giving Rick fits. She's oil, he's vinegar. She leaps without thinking, he plans without blinking. Gina is hilarious, Rick is serious. Totally, Sweetly, Irrevocably is over the top, amusing and irresistible storytelling. A rule breaker and a rule maker. The situations Gina finds herself in are priceless, but she has her own personal watch dog on the case. Things are about to get interesting. I loved it.
