KISS ME, SHERIFF is a beautifully fragile love story that will well your tears and warm you heart! I don’t think I can adequately express how amazing and wonderful Derek and Willa’s story is. On the outside, Willa is cheerful and friendly and a great addition to the town of Thunder Ridge but on the inside, she’s suffering some deep emotional hurts. Willa is trying to keep everyone at arm’s length but finds it awful hard to do so when the sheriff’s sexy smile and kind eyes reawaken all sorts of feelings. Feelings she is not deserving of, and is desperately afraid of. Derek is the sheriff of Thunder Ridge and has his sights set on Willa. He’s breaking all his own rules in pursuit of the lovely red-head but he can’t seem to help himself. He knows Willa is the one for him, now he’s just got to convince her of that fact. Easier said than done! Willa is a remarkable heroine. She’s easy to relate to and deeply empathize with. But what won this book over for me was Derek. He is the ultimate contemporary romance hero. He is kind, loyal, faithful, caring, strong and has a heart of solid gold! I fell in love with Derek many times during the story. When you think he couldn’t get any better, he does something magnanimous and you’re instantly enchanted all over again. The story was magical. The romance, heartbreakingly beautiful. I had tears streaming down my face more than once! And it’s not just a romance. It’s about learning to love in all forms. It’s about taking chances. Chances on a kid nobody wants. Chances on a woman that can’t trust. And chances on a man to not break what’s left of your heart. 10 Stars for this lovingly-crafted story! ***I want to thank the publisher for generously offering me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
