My heart just broke for Sloane. She just wanted to be someone's priority, rather than being the one everyone forgot about or found it easy to cancel on. Ryan is used to being in the public eye and now that he's been sidelined, he's not quite sure where he fits in anymore. But living in his parent's house and listening to them "reaffirm their love" - that's not what he was planning on LOL. Sloane may think she suks when it comes to making friends but her bookclub is sure making her popular in town- if maybe not for the reasons that she hoped for. Ryan, oh that man could be his own worst enemy sometimes. I really wanted to slap him when he just let his coach give up so easily. I missed out book 1 in the series but I have added it into my mammoth TBR list. A strong story, with empathetic characters and blazing chemistry between MCs. Complete home runner of a great book!

I loved book one in this charming and funny series, and I swear, I thought book two was even better. The story here is cute and delivers some delightful feels. I liked Sloane and Ryan. Their chemistry was obvious, and I loved each and every spark they generated. If you are looking for a romance that will brighten your day, have a smile on your face and have you basking in the emotions, this book is just what you need. I am volitionally posting a forthright review.

Loved this rom com! Sloane and Ryan strike up unlikely friendship that turns into so much more. Ryan has returned home to nurse a baseball injury when he meets librarian, Sloane. Sloane has made Kissing Creek her new home and does not plan on leaving any time soon, even though her heart tells her to follow major league pitcher, Ryan. Loved the banter between these two, had me laughing through out the story. Loved the emotions of the importance of family and friends. Enjoyed the guest appearance of Lillie the llama. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone.
