This is a clean romance that is not only sweet and touching , but also thought provoking. Marcos Ramirez was a Marine when he met Nina Walker . The attraction was instant and within a day, they were married . But a phone call from home changed their future. Marcos left suddenly never to be seen again, and later the marriage was annulled. Never knowing he left more than just Nina. Now years later, Marcos is back home after being medical discharged. Marcos is not happy nor does he know what his future will entail. Just that ranching is not what he wants. Imagine his surprise when he meets Nina once more , and a boy very much like him. While the plot was engaging, this story was more than that. It’s a story about family a dynamics, their expectations, and sometimes not meeting up to them. It’s also a reminder of the struggles many of the brave men and women who serve are country encounter when they return to civilian life. As a nation and as individuals we need to do more for them. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
